Sergei Karasev is the Russian referee.

He has taken charge of 10 ties involving German teams in the Champs/Euro league.

In 5 of those 10 he has issued a red card.

Taken a red card to be shown 12/5.

    Good luck all.

Not tonite but will keep a look out for Sergei again

Had a look at the lower league tables there and going for a speculative acca of home teams fighting for promotion /survival vs teams who are already promoted/have nothing to play for. Bristol/Millwall/ Sheff Wednesday/Swindon/ Port Vale + 1 / Colchester + 1 and Luton -1 @ 300 back for 5er.

    Acca for tonight:

    Derry City/Finn Harps - over 1.5
    Bilbao/Las Palmas - over 1.5
    Norwich/Fulham - over 2.5
    Birmingham DNB

Comes in somewhere between 2/1 and 3/1.

Is anybody here making a profit on corners and willing to talk about their strategy?

Look at corner stats. I use simplesoccerstats.com, very easy use it. Also look at what teams have good wingers and a target man.

The likes of Man City play out on the wing a lot and crosses will get blocked. Liverpool have Mane on the wing who is key to most of their good play (he's out for the season tho) and since Xmas they're crossing the ball a lot for some reason.

The bigger teams will obviously have a lot more attacks when playing smaller teams so corner match betting or team corners is the market for that. When bigger teams are playing each other there'll be corners for both sides so corner multi betting is the market here.

Example, Liverpool were playing city last month and the corners were 9-8. That was the multi corners up.

Edit: 2 or 3 years ago the odds for corners were unreal, these days bookies have copped it and harder to find value.

That's exactly what I'm finding, had a great few years with corners and cards, bookies have really tightened up now

Powers may be the worst for odds but funnily enough they offered serious value on cards 2 years ago compared with bet365. 365's line was often over 4.5 cards at 1.83 where as powers could offer over 30 booking points for the same match at evens

I think its next to impossible to make a profit in corners if just betting pre match on it, too often I've seen corner bets dead by half time
it might only take one team to take a two goal lead and you're bet is dead
I only ever look at them in play anymore, been burnt too often

maybe other leagues are easier but from my experience betting in the prem I think its pot luck a lot of the time

I find the best value for corners is in play on 1st half corners. Between 30 - 45 mins. The line is usually @ evens and you need 2 corners in the last 15 odd mins of the half.

I keep my eye out for certain scenarios where either the away team is winning and the home team is pushing forward

    Or

The pre game favourite is loosing to an early goal and like wise dominating possesion

    Chance and attempts = corners.

Very rarly back pregame as some teams have burnt me bad before

Juve a year or two back left me short of 1 corner in a champions league game that let my accum that night down for €9500. The pre game team line was 3.5. They only got 3. Will never forget it

Only take them serious in the Dutch league because i know how teams play, who is playing on the wing, et cetera.
Most of the times prefer team corners when i think odds are great.

Corners are really unpredictable even if you think you have a great strategy.

I thought Dortmund-Monaco would be a banker for multi-corners but at half time it was 1 each and Monaco sat back so much in the second half that they didn't have another corner.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,270 ✭✭✭clairewithani

Like mailburner I usually just corners in-play. Might do some coming up to half time as that ten minutes is usually good for corners. Apart from that if an attacking team goes a goal down I back them for race to 7. I find it was easier to win on these markets before but not so much now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 501 ✭✭✭Division

    Practical examples usually work best.

If someone that is good at corners were to pick a game and go into detail pre game about how they analyse this market and decide on a win percentage for over X corners, team A to have more corners than team B or multi corners that would be useful to a lot of people.

Simply looking at things like team A average X corners per game and team B average Y corners per game so (X + Y)/2 is unlikely to allow you to do much with this market so stats alone for this one would be almost useless in isolation.
