New tv needed will it work with saorview?

    Hi all,
    I'm looking at a new tv but not sure if it will work with saorview. Can anybody help?
    Model number: sony bravia 55X8505C.
    Or is there any similar options that would work? Thanks for the help.

    As far as I know all new TVs sold in ROI have built in Saorview tuners. Check with the shop where you are thinking of buying it.

    Yes, it will work with Saorview. Seems to have twin satellite tuners too, & ability to record to a USB device.

    Saorview is only the Irish channels, & you'll need an aerial. The satellite tuners can be used to receive UK channels: needless to say you'll need a dish, with 2 cables run to the TV if you want full watch/record flexibility.

    Parts of the country can also get reliable UK reception via terrestrial aerial too.
