    Some turnstile information

A turnstile, also called a baffle gate or turnstyle, is a form of gate which allows one person to pass at a time. It can also be made so as to enforce one-way traffic of people, and in addition, it can restrict passage only to people who insert a coin, a ticket, a pass, or similar. Thus a turnstile can be used in the case of paid access (sometimes called a faregate or ticket barrier when used for this purpose), for example to access public transport, a pay toilet, or to restrict access to authorized people, for example in the lobby of an office building

If Dublin turn on the style it'll leave Kerry walking out the gate baffled.

I would normally apologise for such a poor joke but with it being an information board, I'll let it pass.

Last year Kerry and Dublin regular boardsies didn't talk about the game much for a variety of reasons.

I'd imagine it'll be the same this year.

Anyway Tod what you guys got away with yesterday, that won't work with Kerry. ;)

Kerry need goals. Geaney on fire with both Griffin and Crowley holding the centre. If the match is close with ten minutes to go how Kerry reply the Dublin dubs will decide the game.

Someone will get sent off. Possibly Connelly and or Crowley.

Both teams can worry about losing J Copper/Enright

Who ever wins we'll have some sort of games to get straight reds overturned

Foolishly booked my holidays earlier in the year so that not only will I not be in Croke Park on Sunday, I will literally be in the middle of a desert so probably unable to even get texts to keep me updated.

I'll probably be glad of the fact when I get back to civilisation and see the result!

I've a similar tale. Booked for the Longford Marathon at 10am on Sunday. Don't know why i was convinced Dublin were the first semi but i was.

All is not lost though. A good time and average speed of 160kph up the M4 will see me straight.;)

I still have little to add to this over and above my feelings at the league final.
Dubs still slight favourites but it could go either way.
Its been very quiet from the Kerry camp.
Last year we were talking about how good, or over hyped the Kerry bench was.

So what's the differences. The Dubs are weaker but others have stood up.
ROC is gone as is Jack Flash.
Jack's loss had been less noticeable , but this is the game for him.

Tommy is gone too. Even if he never played , he was a concern .
Moran is not considered the best midfielder anymore. But he's still there , still very good.
JOD is flying, johnny cooper has matured more this year than any imo.
Jack's gone, John Small is going well, he can expect more tough treatment from the Kerry halfback line, but if McCarthy is fit , Crowley can expect something similar in fact I think he'll have a tough game, he has a very important job for kerry, being their most mobile tough half back, he'll be spread around again and might find himself in more tangles than one man can handle.

O'Mahony and Connelly, possibly the easiest red cards for the ref.
Gooch expecting something good from him I'm only 50/50 that Philly will pick him up. He won't chase his man this year anyway, I think he'll have a point to prove and will be a dangerous prospect. Daly might get out ahead of him.
I'm happy with the Dublin halfback line now, kerry could be strong at half-forward if they line out with their best playing in their best positions.

Without laughing, I can see the logic in Sheehan playing in goal, his accuracy might be needed , but he looks very rigid on the ball and has been a passenger recently when the game reaches a certain pace. He's the best free taker in the game IMO, he asks similar selection questions to D Rock, but this year Rock has improved.

Would I love ROC for Star ? Yes I would, we'll have to settle for MDMA dropping back instead

Looking forward to it. Hoping B Brogan hits form and that it's sunny. I've left out Geaney , dont know who'll pick him up. D Byrne might be the man.

Next if the Dubs start McManamon Enright might be on him. However I'd start Andrews, i wouldn't start them both.
We know the half-forward line, we have Rock and brogan. So KMac , Andrews , Mannion, O'Gara, Costello for the final spot .
Andrews gets it for me. KMac on for him when he's tired. Mannion for Brogan and I'd sub Connelly too before the end.
Not only is KMac a great sub, kerry are extra worried about him, but Andrews is a good starter imo, not so much of an impact. Both will test the refs black card for Enright. As will JOD although Cooper is standing men up better this year.

All that said we'd have to see how the game is going. Connelly might not even start, red cards etc tackling and discipline will need to be spot on for Dublin, kerry have a few beauts too with the eye on them. Both squads will need to keep their heads , Mayo will be praying for a mill up involving Gooch, Star, Fenton. Connelly, Philly and O'Mahony.

Kieran - good to see you taking the game seriously and being at home by 3.30am during the Rose of Tralee.

Fantastic commitment from the Tralee guys on the team.

God be with the days we were playing Cork in a semi-final and ye could stay out all night the Monday and Tuesday of the festival and still hammer Cork on the Sunday. :(

weather-depending, we could be in for a cracker of a semi final! Both teams will be hungry for the win. Dublin will want to reach back to back finals, something this team has not yet achieved. Kerry will also be very hungry to win also to regain their crown. Expect the first 10-15 minutes to really bring the game into life. Dublins defence has obviously been dealt a massive blow by the departures of mccafrey and o Carroll but I think if James McCarthy and Jonny cooper play well ye should be fine in that department but I still fell Kerry have the better defense. As for the midfield, last year I would have said Kerry had the better midfield. What I didn't know was that Fenton was coming in under the radar. Maher and Moran are only OK this year so I would say the midfielders are pretty much evenly matched. As for the two sets of forwards, both are packed with talented sets of forwards. Kerry, unlike other years have almost two sets of forwards they could play . Dublin however have the best forwards in this country and if they can use mcmennamin correctly, they should edge that area given the quality and variety they've got. As for the neutral supporters I'm praying for the weather to be perfect ( you know what happened last September). I'm expecting a tough, gruelling encounter and whoever wins will only be able to do so by 2-3 points. I can sense a draw coming, however.

Agreeing with almost everything Kieran Donaghy says. Not on Kerry's defense being better than Dublin's (I think they are relatively equal) but otherwise everything else.

Tough, gruelling, close.... Can't wait for Sunday

    Sheahan wont start in goal

    http://www.hoganstand.com/ArticleForm.aspx?ID=259735

I am worried for one reason- when Kerry were getting murdered in the League Final Fitz took off the three best performers,

Lyne for Mark Griffin in full back, Geaney for Murphy and BJ for O Brien.

instead of Sheehan Cooper and Donaghy who were utterly innefective on the day and slow to every ball.

Kerry were utterly blown away then.

Dublin are mobile and blow teams away in the second half. Kerry need to have a solid lead which they have managed in every championship meeting between the teams and keep it tight in the last ten minutes which they have not. To do that they need to have the balls on the sideline to hook the older players- he's too loyal to these players and needs to be more ruthless. Hes done a good job of blooding new players- now he has to trust them.

Better full back line maybe, halfback line is Dublins all the way imo.
Kerry's full forward line does worry me.

The JOD rumour was weird because I think the only place I saw anything about it was on reservoir dubs - was it in the newspapers or something? Heard nothing about it from home.

Good lol at some guy who read an article from 2013 and thought Killian Young was after breaking his ankle again.

I can't believe Dublin ever line up without Paddy Andrews tbh, talk about your underrated players.

I'd be surprised if Gooch starts, also think Donaghy will be midfield. Bad times.

What JOD rumour? I was referring to our own James McCarthey. Feel free to add to the Dublin/Kerry bull$hit quotient.
