Hello, just wondering could anyone give my some insight into what this course is like in Galway?
Also many other people have it down as their first choice?

I'm going into that course as I've deferred it. As for what the course is like you can check the types of modules on Qualifax, but someone here with experience could go into better detail.

Thanks! Do you think the points will increase much?

To be honest, I'd say they'll stay where they are around 440.
I'm basing on recent years as they have looked like this:
    2015 440
    2014 420
    2013 420

Ah ya, I can't see it increasing by much if it does.

Going into second year in 2 weeks. looking at the modules would give you a fair idea.
One thing which surprised me was the amount of maths in the course. Maths itself is tough and alot of the other modules are maths based. Done HL Maths and Applied Maths and i find the maths v hard.

What ever you do don't choose it for the job prospects if you have no interest in computers. You won't last.
Keep up with the continuous assessment and you'll have no bother passing first year.

Thanks! Yeah maths I'm okay at. Did higher level! Saw something online saying that the course is about 25 % maths. Are there any tutorials or something it you are finding maths difficult?

I don't do that exact course, but with my maths modules we do tutorials and lectures. Also, there's a place called SUMS, where tutors help you outside of your lectures and tutorials with anything you're having difficulty with!
