    Hi,

Can anyone tell me if as a 'dependent mature student' my fathers widowers' pension will be taken into account in deciding the award level of my grant?

Also is it not fairly ridiculous that I'm classed as dependent solely because it has been less than 3 years since I finished my undergrad, even though I've been living away from the family home for over 5 years and fully self sustaining for those five years apart from a grant during my undergrad? :/

    Hi
Disregarded payments are on this page here of the SUSI website and Widowers Pension is not among them, this means it will be assessed as reckonable income.
