They are hardly interviewing people for a competition they didn't apply for? (Are those ones the Brexit inspector jobs)

I reckon they might just be making the panels.

It sounds like interviews will be finished by the end of January or early February. Take approx 3 weeks to create the panel then I d guess. So late February there should be offers made.

I heard through the grapevine that there is 3 posts in the RVO in Naas coming up.

Are panels made after interviews or is there further testing before you are put on a panel.

Any tips on what's being asked in the interviews? And when do you get your zoom details? I'm in the 140s and still waiting

    Hi All,
I had my interview yesterday. I don't feel it went as well as I had hoped I was mumbled in a lot of my answers and let my nerves get the best of me. That's why I said I might as well post what I can remember from the interview to help ye who are not loss causes yet :)
They asked me all the competencies questions on the email we received and they were looking for real life examples for every one of them!!! because they are on a time limit they interrupted me ALOT which was really unnerving and distracting but I guess that's just what they have to do when they are interviewing 100's of people. but just giving you the heads up!
They also asked me a lot of details about the role of the DAFM which obviously I knew but they went into a lot of detail about certain schemes so brush up on as much as you can and what is relevant to the role. I hope this helps someone x best of luck everyone!

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one, the interruptions really threw me off, and I feel no matter what I said, they were shaking their heads, as in I was always answering incorrectly. Lack of real work experience, and examples to draw on when answering questions is where I really fell down, but sure I’ve been at home for the last year with covid. For anyone reading, prepare your answers to be both direct and concise.

Has anyone contacted PAS lately? or heard if there is any movement on offering positions or creation of a panel?

Its a few days short of six months since the closing date!

Anyone else go for the AAI positions advertised in December 2020?

  • Registered Users Posts: 36 nicchick88

I'm sure we will hear something in the next couple of weeks. It will be 3 weeks since the interviews ended.
    Fingers crossed!

Has anybody heard from PAS or DAFM? It's been over a month since my interview! Also: Does anyone have an update on the AAI position?

  • Registered Users Posts: 20 hillbillygirl

Absolutely nada! I interviewed 10 weeks ago. At this stage Id say there will be no stir on AAI until they fill all TAO positions.

Maybe someone should fire them in an email...they are sick of me!

    I contacted them today

The AAI and TAO competitions are completely separate posts and independent of each other. I work in DAFM and the AAI is a specialist post for Ag Scientists with a Level 8 qualification and the TAO is a technical post that requires a level 6 qualification. There are vacancies in both and interviews and panels will be developed based on availability of staff to complete this workload on top of their busy jobs. As the type of work carried out by an AAI and TAO is very different, offering of jobs are independent. The AAI applications take a very long time to go through and short list as we need to check the qualifications and ensure people are eligible and this requires contacting universities some times to get further information on the modules taken.

heading for 7 months since the closing date and it seems nobody has heard anything.. beginning to lose hope on this one

I mentioned to my husband that ASAP probably means weeks not days, as a joke...
I didn’t realise how true that sentiment would be until now

I was told we would have the results of our interview by the middle of Feb......at the latest!!
