    I always thought a type rating would be required for direct entry? Does the applicant fund it if successful then?

    In this case, Aer Lingus fund the type rating with a stipulation that if you leave them within a certain period you will be liable for the costs of the type rating.

    Out of interest, anyone on here done the aptitude tests and heard nothing since? I've heard of lads getting PFO's, and also a few lads getting interview dates, but I'm still in limbo!
