I received a letter today about a Jobpath information session for next Monday. I'm just wondering would I have to attend as I'm starting back to college in about 3 weeks, and don't really see the point of it. Not trying to be negative, as I see it could be a good help for people. Would they provide help for students, or help getting part time work? Or is it just full time?

I've already registered for my final year and hopefully will be back on BTEA in early Sept.

    Anybody in a similar situation?

    Thanks

If you were in receipt of BTEA and continuing on in September then just let the Jobpath providers know this. You shouldnt have been called for Jobpath as your office should have put a category on your claim when you came off BTEA for the summer so that you wouldnt be called.

I have a similar situation where I was finished my Level 7 Degree and a week letter I got put on JobPath. Even though I have my grant approved for my level 8 and will be returning in September to college. I am looking for summer work while on JSA before returning to college. Should I even be on JobPath now, since their goal is for people on jobpath to find sustainable work 17 weeks I think. The most work I'll be able to get over the summer will in likelihood be at most ten weeks.
My officer who I met at the meeting said she had nothing to do with who gets referred. Any ideas? I last worked in 2016 but I hear now being at college and on btea counts as being unemployed. So I am over 12 months unemployed due to that. Any info?
