My Mega Drive controller wire has an irritating "zig-zag" going from end to end and I was wondering if there's an easy way to permanently fix it?

Been at me a few weeks now and I'm out of ideas on how to straighten it.

    Any ideas?

He's kidding, unless the smell of burning plastic, followed by passing out, followed by walking up to a hole burned in your best slacks, 3rd degree burns to your thigh and a non functioning controller is what you want, what you really really want.

In seriousness, you could try heating it gently with a hair drier, but you may have to just get used to it.

Straighten the wire out and leave it under some heavy books or something for as long as it takes. Or if that doesn't work just buy another off ebay if it's that bothersome. :)

Hold it upright from the connector end, to let the twists & creases come out of it naturally. if you can get something to hold it up overnight, or even over two full days, it should sort the worst of it.

Or, leave things as they are and nurture a reputation as the Primo no.1 zig zag MD cable guy in the country, perhaps starting a Youtube channel to support your claim, then watch the revenue roll in and live in opulent ostentatiousness.

Keep stroking it, increase the speed of your strokes and the heat will sort it out..

This is how they do it in phone shops.. seriously..
