So next week I'm getting a 2010 KIA sedona 2.2 with a dropped floor so it can take my son's new electric chair, I will be changing the insurance from my 2010 2.9 KIA carnival and was just wondering if there are any insurance companies that specialised in wheelchair adapted cars or offer good deals :)

    Thanks

Contact the Irish Wheelchair Association they will put you in touch with their broker.

The Irish wheelchair association has some scheme, not sure how beneficial it is though. First Ireland would be worth a shot too.

All insurers should quote once you have an engineers report to say the vehicle is tip top.

Will the NCT not do or do I have to get an engineers report.

When structural modifications are are done to a vehicle most insurers will request the engineers report.

Subject that installation is certified then most insurers will cover. Just confirm the adaption be it WC access, swivel seat etc and you'll be fine. Axa will def quote. Be careful if broker puts u on a mobility fleet policy as your ncb can't be used
