    Tablet again won't charge
Had port replaced within one year of buying it 2 years ago.
Was thinking about getting a new tablet at Xmas anyway so is there anyway I can try and fix it myself ? Or maybe a cheap wireless charger

    I have the official dock.
changed the USB port twice myself got fed up so I got dock that charges through the 4 pogo pins at the bottom of the tablet.by passed the need to use the USB port.

Is it the port or just not charging when dead

As long as it's a 2013, a QI charger should do the job. In any case, they're not expensive, will perhaps prolong the life of your tablet, and you could get further use out of the QI charger in future, with another device. Go for it.

Same thing happened me a few years ago after a year or so of ownership. Sent it back as faulty, no questions asked.

The battery could be after coming loose. Has happened me loads of times with this tablet. Pop off the back and make sure the connector is slotted in fully and try it.

Most chargers are 1 amp but nexus chargers are 2 amps

Are you using the official charger that came with it?
Have a look at the plug, specifically for anything mentioning output. It should have a number beside it that can be anything from 500mA to 1A to 2A.
The higher the better. For this Nexus you'd want to be closer to the 2A.

I've been using the same charger for the past 2 years and this issue has only arisen in the last week
I'll have a look at the other chargers I have so

You are supposed to use the proper charged otherwise it has to do twice as much work
