Any idea where I could get some of these - ideally some of the franchise or big stores would have them so I could pick them up.

I know Argos do cheap white gloss ones and Ikea seem to stock black and white ones.

Are they a good idea for storage in a sitting room over tv and stove? Can they take much weight?

I could fit them myself as I don't think there is too much involved.

Or could someone suggest other options.
I would like to have a bit more storage but the ground space is out - nice to put up couple of frames and vases etc.

They can barely hold their own weight without sagging to some degree. If you are anyway OCD or like clean lines then avoid.

Ya I read that the ones in Argos only hold 5kg which is mad but I guess a very small area is screwed into the wall.

Any other suggestions re shelves. I don't want dust catchers either!

Could you use the Ekby Bjarnum brackets from idea?
The instructions say 20kg/length and they can be beefed up with midpoint supports.

They can be used with ikea shelves or an appropriately sized plank of wood.
