Got first pair of glasses today. Quite surprising how clear everything is with them - leaves on trees, faces on street, signs, etc. A whole new world!

I'm -1 -0.25 90 in both eyes. Do people with this prescription wear them all the time or just for driving, movies and lectures?

Why would you not wear them all the time?
Do you like the fuzzy look?

It really is up to yourself. Wearing them or not wearing them all the time will not make your vision worse. If you find you prefer to see things clearer all the time, wear them

Thanks Tantranska and Daisies! I guess I should just get used to wearing them all the time and enjoy the sharp vision.

If they make your vision better than do wear them all the time. Glasses are very fashionable unlike when I was a chizzler and had to get them!

Spare a thought for me, I'm -7! (although I wear day and night contact lenses so I dont need to wear glasses that often)

Got my first eye exam. I've a minor problem and was wondering about holding off on prescription glasses for a while but trying the reading glasses in pharmacy. This being cos I'm hopeless with them ie losing sunglasses and the cheapest pair in opticians is 100 euros. Thing is the lowest ones in shops seem to be +1.0. My script says I'm +.25 dist and +.75 near sphere in both eyes, and. 25 dist and near cyl in both eyes. Axis 65 near and dist in one eye and 100 in other eye. At the bottom it says near +.50 in both eyes. So what shop glasses would do me for the moment? Or should I just bite bullet and go with the prescription ones from now? My issue is tiny print on labels.

If you have cyl in your prescription, you have astigmatism, therefore you will not see well with the reading glasses you can buy ready made in shops.

I have astigmatism and had to have my reading glasses made according to my prescription.
