Not receiving mux 1

Just bought an Amiko Mini Combo (sat + aerial) receiver. Have a new aerial set up in the garden and when I tune the system I get the Mux 2 channels easily. RTE 2 HD etc and all Mux 1 channels I cannot get.

When I check the signal on channel 30 (three rock transmitter) through the system it shows as coming in as strongly as mux 2. The channel names all get picked up but there is no picture / sound.

Any ideas what I can do to get all channels?

What are the signal strength and quality readings for both muxes, quality is the important figure and should be as close as possible to the top of the scale.

Do you have UPC/VM analogue cable attached to the setup, Saorview Mux1 (UHF 30) shares a frequency with one of the UPC analogue cable channels.

Update to this, signal / quality are up around 90% for both.

I've upgraded the firmware of the box, rescanned and now have RTE 2 HD but RTE 1 is SD....so, as I thought this looks like it's a Amiko Mini Combo issue and not the signal.

Very frustrating piece of hardware to work with though, anyone have one?

When I scan on channels 30 / 33 the signal is great. When I let the box autoscan it picks up the channels at a much higher Hz and the signal is not as good. I can't see how to force the box to take the tunings I want and not what it thinks is best.

I do have UPC but the only connections going into the box are my sat and aerial...although the UPC cable is physically near the box, would that matter?

There is no RTÉ1 sd on Saorview. What is the signal like on the higher frequency one. There is nothing to stop you using a mix of both if it works.

It's weird, the RTE 1 was definitely not HD earlier but now is. This Amiko box is haunted.

A lot of shows on RTE1 are not in HD nothing to do with the box its the broadcasters issue constantly playing old repeats over and over, same issue with RTE2
