Europe's oldest Oak forest - Blenheim Palace

05-08-2016 9:13pm#1Blenheim Palace has 60 or so 900 year old oak trees, with ‘The King Oak’, more than nine meters in circumference and estimated to be at least 920 years old being the age champion until recently. An oak has just been, measured that is more than 10 meters in circumference, approx 1,046 years old.
I often heard it said while in the UK about the lifespan of an oak,
300 years to grow, 300 years to mature and 300 years to die.
