    Hi all

Planning on going to Edinburgh towards the end of the month for a two night stay.

Just wanted opinions on the best Premier Inn location to choose?

    They have the following:

    York Place
    Princes Street
    Royal Mile
    Lauriston Place
    Haymarket

    I'm thinking maybe Princes Street?

All these are pretty central but would like one closest to most things!

Any other suggestions about things to do etc would be much appreciated too!

    Thanks
    Sam

The Princes Street location is definitely the best. The locations you named are all good but since you are going in August I wouldn't go to the Royal Mile Premier Inn as the Royal Mile is very busy during the Fringe Festival.

Make sure to do the 'scary' midnight ghost tour of the City :D

I can't remember what its called, but its a good laugh.

Obviously, don't forget to see the castle either (in daylight)...

The Real Mary King's Close is interesting too. You'll need to book in advance.

Remember August is the Edinburgh fringe so there maybe a shortage of rooms or a premium in the price. The last 2 weeks of August tend to be the busiest.
