It is usually the latter half of September. As far as I know, the exact date the public stock of vaccines is delivered varies by area.

I think I did get it around September last year. Would stocks run out quickly? Im due bloods in mid October so was hoping to get the flu injection at the same time rather than make 2 separate visits.

I don't think there's been a problem of stocks running out in a normal flu season, so you should be fine for mid October. Maybe you could let the surgery know you'd like to get your vaccine at that visit so they're aware and can give a longer appointment if needs be.

There is little danger of stocks running out but if you are in a high-risk group and getting the flu would be particularly dangerous for you then it might be wiser to get vaccinated sooner rather than later. You won't be protected until you have the vaccine.
Many pharmacies now offer flu vaccination so you may not have to go to your GP if the times don't suit you.

I take immune suppressant medication so would be in one of the at risk categories but have never (so far) had issues with illness due to that. My doctor just thinks it's best I get it.
