Walking through Dangan NUIG today I thought I saw some flowers in the middle of the fields. Later heard about a death of a cyclist. RIP and condolences to the family.

Yeah, motorcyclist hit a power pylon at night on a motorbike around the old railway line. Shocking week for Galway, 4 dead as a result of vehicle accidents and 5 overall.

Think it was on the GAA pitches beside the suspended metal wires that the crash happened. Was training there yesterday and saw some people gathered at the spot . Such a tragedy , RIP to the young man and his family .
