i was unemployed for the first half of 2016, and received JSB of €2217.62 and JSA of €1882. I started work a month ago.
On my Tax Credit Certicate, there is a reduction to my Tax 1 rateband, with a deduction narrative of "Job Seekers Benefit" and an amount of €1821.60 beside it.

Have they got this wrong ? Should the JSB of €2217.62 not be the deduction ? Should it be both ?

    JSB Taxable and reduces credits

    JSA not taxable

the first €13 per week of JSB not taxable. So net that off the number of weeks will give you the right figure
