Fixing up Concrete Shed

    Hi!

We have a concrete shed out back and I'd like to fix it up a bit, as it's a bit gross inside. Just want to prettify it and seal it from the elements and creepy crawlies. It's a small space (8ft x 6ft). We use it as a general utility room.

The concrete roof had a leak, leading to some interior mouldiness. I had a guy come and roof the shed with torch-on felt, so it's dry inside now.

There are a couple of issues to address:

    1. Concrete crumbling in the ceiling. The biggest patch is about 8" x 8". The rest are just tiny bits. Stick your finger up there and load of concrete dust comes out. What's a good product for patching up a concrete ceiling? I was thinking of painting the ceiling once repaired - is that a good way to go or should I consider other options also?

    2. I'd like to paint the block walls also. They are currently unfinished - just the exposed mortar and blocks. One or two gaps with the light coming in from outside. I've read around about painting block walls and it seems dampness can be an issue as the paint and primer act as a seal or something. Anyone have advice on doing this? I'm not sure what kind of blocks they are ... the walls are about 4 inches thick.

    Thanks!
