Is it not enough to post it a bunch of times in the (numerous) threads?

To be fair you can't create a poll in a thread... Unless you start a new thread or a mod edits the thread to add a poll.

I've not seen this poll anywhere else

A poll, lol! yep the silent masses of active users who frequent this forum will finally get their say!

Well given that the OP has offered zero input on why this is a Christianity issue, I'll be generous and assume they mean to put this forward as some sort of a question on the Sanctity of Life...?

    Edit Poll results so far:
1- Cabaal, Cliona99, Hotblack Desiato, MrPudding, nozzferrahhtoo, oscarBravo, Parachutes, Pherekydes, PopePalpatine, smacl

Well colour me shocked. Them's some good findings OP!

Yep, can't add a poll to an existing thread and the only other time I've posted the above is in that thread.

Glad you like 'em. From what I gather so, the pro-choice people on the thread see one person in the picture, and those from the pro-life seem unwilling or unable to say.

Shoe in for a Nobel with this one.

    38. You're missing the camo-ed sniper, visible right between the woman's arm and body. Who did you think the spotter to the right was for?!

Or maybe the atheists (can't speak for all who voted 1) see one person and the rest of us couldn't be bothered.

From a biblical perspective, God created us in the womb and knew us there and called us to His service there. We were fearfully and wonderfully made.

You don't say that about a chair!

Shocking to think that the two top images are considered equal to the image on the bottom right.

Shocking that people have a view different to yours ! Welcome to the real world.

Personally, I see 3. The figure portrayed as a female is actually an alien;)

It's a start, maybe the electorate who were born post-1965 will finally get a say too...

Ah here. Despite what David Icke and his band say, Lizard shape-shifters are people too.

I think boards.ie's terms state you must be over 13 to sign-up, so they're 100% free to do so.

Ya know, my wife asked me if I wanted a slice of cake. When I said yes she threw two eggs and a handful of flower on the table.... while there is technicalities about this I decided not to have the cake as it would not have been viable.

They had their say in 83,92 and 02.

    MOD NOTE

@OP: Beyond the generation of the poll, what exactly is the purpose of this thread?

It's already veered into discussion on abortion (which we already have a thread for) so is there a topic other than abortion up for discussion here?

If you can read this, you're too close!

But never on an online poll on how many people you can see in a composite picture. Exciting times.

Explain to me how a citizen born in 1966 or later could vote in 1983?
The vote in 1992 to disallow suicidality was rejected so I've no idea what your point is there. Same in 2002 - rejected again.

Your post said post '65 I had included 65 so congrats you're right in that someone born in 66 couldn't vote in 83.
The other votes centred around the right to abortion.
Have you a point or are your posts just like this thread...pointless.

We have however, seen the question before, when smacl failed to provide us with his rationale for dividing the depictions into his categories, or for why we should determine which are persons purely from a picture. Realistically, it appears the only posters who think it's worth engaging with are those pushing a pro choice agenda, as is evident both by those who've answered the poll, and the comments on it so far. Nor do I think the poll is genuinely going to help smacl in his struggle with this whole unborn life, what is a person, etc.. thing, since I have a feeling that a Christian perspective is irreconcilably at odds with his own views.

I think it's just an excuse to re-introduce the abortion discussion without reigniting a thread which concluded with a pro choice poster being provocatively dishonest...

    MOD NOTE

@OP: Beyond the generation of the poll, what exactly is the purpose of this thread?

    Being aghast at the notion posited by some here that an embryo or early stage foetus is a person in the same sense of an adult woman, I posted the poll with the above intention;

    - To ascertain whether this was a notion broadly shared by other posters on this forum. (No)
    - To ascertain whether those who agree with this notion can even tell the difference between what was and was not a person on the basis of their own declared criteria. (No)
    - To see whether the posters who agree with this notion would have the courage of their convictions to stand by their position in a public poll. (No)

From what I can see, most contributors to this forum do not consider an embryo or early foetus to be a person. Those who do consider an embryo or foetus to be a person seem unwilling to or unable to identify the difference on a visual basis, and would rather duck the question or resort to ad-hom attacks than deal with this unpalatable truth.
It's already veered into discussion on abortion (which we already have a thread for) so is there a topic other than abortion up for discussion here?

Discussion no doubt belongs on the existing thread. Being unable to add a poll to that thread I started a new one. Please feel free to close this thread.

    Thanks for the explanation.

Closing thread. Discussion can continue in the abortion megathread.
