Breaking news of an attack outside a Migration Centre in Germany. No reports yet of how many were injured or killed.

    http://news.sky.com/story/explosion-near-migration-office-in-germany-10514380

This time I will blame Militant Pastafarians I think.

To be honest most of these attacks are carried out by mentally ill people with no links to these groups other than a notion of solidarity because they are mentally ill

The media hyperbole is misdirected. Why are these people not getting treated or addressed.
The BR24 news website reported witnesses as saying several Arab-looking men ran away from the scene after the blast.

The explosion came just days after a Syrian with suspected links to Islamic State blew himself up near a bar in Ansbach, also in Bavaria.

The bit in bold is pure loaded conjecture

I see they have now edited and toned down the overt racism

Are you sure it's a bomb? It says "aerosols". The fact that it is near a migration reception centre makes it seem like homegrown terrorism, if so.

this is turning into an everyday thing,Something has to be done....

I for one have lost count of the amount of terrorist attacks in france/germany over the last 2 weeks. The media cant even keep up at this stage

What in the article makes you think it was an Islamic attack?

Is this an Islamic attack or an attack on immigrants? The fact it happened near a refuge centre sounds like it might be the latter.
No word of casualties or anything yet?

And this 'mentally ill' apologist crap has to go either way. It's excusing the violence and passing blame into 'society who didn't treat them well'. Bull****.

I know plenty of mentally ill people who don't go on a murdering rampage through shopping centres concerts or bars.

Bomb - a container filled with explosive or incendiary material, designed to explode on impact or when detonated by a timing, proximity, or remote-control device.

    Sounds pretty accurate... :)

If Murdoch's media wasn't creaming its pants over the thought of more civilian deaths, incidents like this wouldn't go reported outside of German media.

Seriously, if a suitcase filled with aerosol cans in a laneway is the current state of ISIS's military capabilities in Europe, then they appear to be completely fncked.

Or maybe, just maybe, it's more likely that mentally ill people are latching on the current hysteria as a way to try and make a name for themselves and go out in a blaze of glory.

And the media are lapping it up. This one wouldn't at all surprise me if it turned out to be literally nothing, just a bag of unstable aerosol cans that popped. But the media couldn't help themselves but to report an explosion in Germany.

Indeed. If only there were a missing ingredient? Some particular type of thought process they might latch onto?

Such as a hatred for immigrants/refugees?

Its all the media's fault folks. Nothing to see here. Move on.

A few aerosols in a suitcase bomb could be a hazmat nightmare, depends on the aerosols contents.

    Test run?

They'll make anything into major breaking news these days to feed the hysteria.

Given its location looks like it may have been an attempted extreme right nationalist revenge on migrants?

Absolutely yes. But also boards.ie sensationalism too.

Very likely teens messing about. Because not everything that happens has to be something dark.

When we were teens, someone threw an empty gas can on a bonfire -- turned out it wasn't as empty as they had thought and it exploded loud enough to rattle nearby houses. Nowadays you'd have someone jumping up claiming it was a terrorist attack/a bomb/not just teens doing stupid things.

Looks to be something very minor thankfully.

Although it's understandable how the German authorities may be on edge considering the spate of terrorist attacks on the continent in recent weeks.

It was a mistake in translation they actually said "2 arseholes were spotted leaving the scene"

I notice that reputable/serious news sites like the Beeb or Reuters haven't gone near this non-news. All the while, Sky and the Indo go mad.

Same as. I'm going to a Muslim wedding in a month and am pretty confident I'm not going to be blown up. Not all Muslims are terrorists. Not all Irish people are ira supporters, not all priests are paedos, not all mentally ill are capable of strapping a bomb on themselves or taking an axe to someone.

I agree. There needs to be a Europe wide mandate to all news papers and governments.

Any incidents should not be be assumed or advertised by papers to be terrorist/islam related unless confirmed by an official government source.

Even if it is someone claiming to have done it for the ISIS cause then it should not be reported as an ISIS attack unless there is evidence to suggest the person was in direct contact with ISIS command and instructed to perform the attack.

Every lone nutter who decides to perform an attack should simply be reported as "crazy person does something stupid". Stop glorifying their actions as being part of something bigger. Make their actions meaningless.

ISIS are gaining traction by being "notorious" and lonely, insane, worthless people need something to cling to and they are seeing ISIS as an easy way to get recognition for their actions.

If a guy gets shot on a street in Berlin during a robbery then it will make the local papers.
If a guy gets shot on a street in Berlin by someone shouting ISIS then it gets reported across the world.

The media is making the problem worse.

Does anyone remember that Science textbook that taught kids how to make home-made bombs?

Fairly sure it was a Junior Cert book, at that.

I seem to recall it mentioned a paint can or a packet of cornflour, with a cursory reminder not to make the bomb without supervision.

Those were the days, snowflakes, those were the days.
