Obtaining original property deeds

Property and land we own is registered at Land Registry.

Before being registered a site was transferred from the land, but the map on the folio does not correspond to the site layout. Is it possible to obtain a copy of the original site transfer showing all boundaries, measurements etc.

Yes, you could write in and request a certified copy of the original transfer deed from the Land Registry, provided you have a direct interest in the land (e.g. if you are the registered owner of the folio it shouldn't be a problem). The fee is €40. It may take a number of weeks to get however.

You may also want to order a certified copy of the folio so if there is a discrepancy between the two you can identify it and then point it out to the Land Registry for rectification.
