    Hi ,
I've been looking at few jeeps for sale in the uk and I was wondering about a few things. Firstly just to state I have no vat or herd number and I'm classed as a non resident as I work in saudi arabia. So

Will I be able to tax and insure the jeep without vat or herd number.

Is there any perks with being a non resident I can use when buying a vehicle

A friend has offered for me to use his vat number to buy the vehicle but will this mean I have to put the jeep in his name and if non is there any danger involved in doing this .

    Thanks for reading

If it's a private jeep you don't need anything above that for a car to tax.

If it's a commercial jeep them it's a bit dependant on he county you try to register and tax it in, some are very sticky on proof of business activity and some let it go.

I heard trough the grape vine that if you buy a few hens you can apply for a flock no that should intitle you to commercial tax. If it is comes to that look in to it
