Searching for my Dad.

    Hi guys,

I've kind of come to a dead end in the search for my Dad. I had started off getting in contact with my cousins on his side but I just recently found out that they haven't seen him in the past 8 years. I have a copy of his birth certificate that I've kept so, what I'm wondering is, where do I go from here? I can't rely on my cousins as they know nothing. I don't want to give up. Any advice would be much appreciated. :)

Start off with his last known address/whereabouts.
Talk to the current owners/tenant of the property.
    Talk to neighbours.
Check the electoral register for the area (its in any county library- or the local Garda Baracks)
Check court records for debts registered against him
Check company records for companies registered to him, or which he may be involved in

If you're still coming up a blank- contact DSP (Department of Social Protection) with as much information as you can find- and they will forward correspondence to him on your behalf (they won't give you his address or any information- but they will act as a glorified mail forwarding machine........)
