Wisdom tooth removal.

    Hello for sometime now i have had a hole in the back of my gum which looks like the skin is blocking/over-laping a tooth trying to emerge, as off dis-morning i have being having strong pain at the back off my gum were this hole is. I am going away in two weeks presumably for a long while and just wanting to ask if it appens to be my wisdom tooth and i see my dentist tomorrow will he/she deal with it there and then or will i have to make a second appointment during the week or even see a surgeon.

    If you can barely see the tooth, then a surgical removal will be required. Some general dentists can do this, most will not and may refer you on to an oral surgeon....
