This is not myself but a hypotetical question. If someone is resident in NI 2 days a week and resident in IRL for the remainder of their week and working in Dublin, where is tax payable on their earnings ?

    Hi

It depends. You would most likely be resident in ROI as that is where you are resident more then 183 days of the year. However if you have employment income in NI transborder relief may be applicable which effectively reduces the amount of tax payable in ROI. There are multiple other issues that may have a bearing on this senario which can have different outcomes.

    So it depends!!
