Has anyone watched this lately? It's gotten very dated. When they land on the moon and look back Madagascar is completely out of proportion with the rest of Africa.

What has gotten dated for you?

Watched Jurassic Park today. Jesus, I thought, these dinosaurs still look pretty good - for the most part.

Watched Independence Day: Resurgence the last day. Jesus, I thought, that Jeff Goldblum still looks pretty good - for the most part.

Dates. They've gone mouldy at this stage.

My Ma hated Jeff Goldblum because of some character he played in Laverne And Shirley, and out of respect for the dead I never liked the bastard either.

I feel this thread is more of a Shaka when the walls fell affair.

The effects are better than some of the CGI nowadays

I don't think I've ever mentioned L&S in a post before, and just as i do, its creator dies.

Those involved with A Trip To The Moon should be on guard, I fear.

I was watching a series where they were watching that last night and was trying to remember if it was any good.

I watched the episode of Friends where Ross's ex-wife marries her female partner recently. It was so dated it was embarrassing, and gay wedding was used as a punchline to so many exchanges. It was vaguely embarrassing to watch.

Hard to believe how much the world has changed in 20 years, a lot of it bad and dangerous, but so much for the better in many ways.

It's the 1001 films to see before you die list, I'm watching them all in order.

What number are you on, and has it been worth it so far?

I had one of those 100 books lists, but lost interest before I'd gotten to 20. There's just some genres I've no interest in at all.

I'm watching number 2 next, it's going great!
