looking for advice on fattening lambs, i have 20 weathers around the 25 - 30kg mark that have been weaned 2 weeks now on lamb weaning crunch and i have them on 0.3kg each a day, just wondering if i should be increasing the feed or what as time goes on, im looking to be bringing them to the mart in 2/3 weeks-ish

I wouldn't be feeding that size of lambs yet, they won't be finished in 2-3 weeks, 2-3 months maybe. I would wait til they were 35-40 kg and you could start feeding them then..

ok yes averaging 38kg, i would like to sell at about 45kg, i also messed up the title of this thread, i dont sell fattened lambs, i mean i am looking for advice on gaining weight on lambs, i feed twice a day, would it benefit if i split up to feeds 3 times a day, i was told thats a good way to start gaining weight

Ah right, once a day is fine to feed them, 0.3 kg would be plenty. If they are on decent grass like fresh grass after silage or a recent reseed that's been topped then no real need to feed yet unless you need them away asap. I fatten lambs of grass only until beginning of October then start and feed what lambs are left a bit of meal to keep them moving on. But if they are on old grass then maybe some meal would help

OK, yeah i was hoping to have them gone by the 8th of august, they are on mostly old grass, if i was to increase the lamb crunch to 0.5 a day per lamb would that be any good or would that just make fatty lambs?

No it would be fine to do that. Any ewe lambs are likely to be a bit fatter than ram lambs are
