Be interesting to see who else they draft in. Fresh faces are what's needed.

I watched The Morning Line the Saturday gone there and had to switch off every time Geoff Banks came on the screen.

Yeah i think they are catering for the fair weather weekend punters and keeping the analysis to a minimum. Doubt there will be a morning line type show either. Probably for the best, people just flick in and out anyway, and the more serious regs are watching ruk anyway.

I'll own up now and confess that I have an infatuation with Franchesca. She is stunning.

Can't be any worse than Clare Balding, Mick Fitz and 'The Champ'™

Happy enough with the new line-up. Need a change from the same old tired faces.

Of course for those of us poor suckers stuck with Virgin media this is all academic as I assume UTV Ireland will not be carrying this coverage just as they don't carry other sports we got from ITV before that channel came into been. Just as well they still carry ATR and Racing UK but with that lot who knows what they channels they might take of next

Surely they'll arrange something for customers. They can't expect us to go without coverage of Ascot, Kempton etc... For those who don't want to pay the €20/30 per month for RUK

I don't think they should have ever gotten rid of Allaistair Down. And I enjoyed John McCririck

They will in their hole, Virgin Media are an absolute disgrace. They didn't arrange anything for us to watch CL or England games when they switched to UTV Ireland. They are a complete joke.

Lads for those of you stuck with Virgin TV there is an app available that has every channel under the sun including RACING UK and all the ITV channels the app is called mobdro its a free download to your phone or smart TV ..now there is a 10 second delay on it so no good for in running betting but if you have your bet placed and want to sit down and watch an afternoons racing its perfect.

What is Rishi's agent doing that manages to get his client these opportunities; he has got gigs at every major sport event covered by BBC, Channel 4, ATR and Racing UK. The man is an idiot. <snip>

JHC.... Dumb and Dumberer, are ITV trying to strangle the racing programme before it even starts?

Why is there so many presenters/pundits? Wasn't that a reason Channel 4 failed. Mick Fitz, good grief. Him and Graham Cunningham were really disliked. At least the latter knew his stuff

I hate change, don't know these people, don't like these people.

I want to go back to the old school Channel 4 days of 20 years ago.

Mick Fitz is a shocking contribution to any programme - must be the worst pundit going and thats saying something

Have to agree - comes out with the same tripe race after race.

Only one person worse and she has got a gig on ITV Racing next year also, Hayley Turner, she has got to be most boring pundit on ATR at the minute.

Chappers has been signed up. I like him, I know a lot don't but he'll liven things up.

He is excellent in the parade ring and getting willing media friendly trainers like Roger Varian to talk. He was gold during the Arc in 2014, got a brilliant and lengthy interview with the connections of Treve,

meanwhile Clare Balding was avoiding getting run over by a carriage (or was that 2013?) and preening about how great Frankie is and how he helped Treve to win (even though he was not ridding her)- and then Channel 4 fails to actually televise , live, a Group 1 Frankie actually won later on the card:D , because some rubbish like that dinner programme or cock wan was on.

As per Racing Post, he only got the betting presenter role, ala Tanya Stevens/Brian Gleeson ? He is better than that

Like him too. He's a bit of craic and not afraid to make a fool of himself by having a bullish opinion. In terms of his new role, he's not afraid to call out and question trainers on gambles well in advance which is a world away from Tayna Whatshername and Brian "shrewdies are on" Gleeson.

    Chapman is great!

I don't mind him at least he isn't afraid to push people's buttons he asks the questions that others won't.

I always thought he came across as a bit sad and needy though when he would keep going on about not getting on channel 4. Seemed desperate

Rishi ticks the 'coloured person' box.

No big british tv station would dare hire a team of presenters without having at least one man, one woman and one coloured person on board.

It is the same in everything

Whether is it a poster campaign for recruitment or a simply Diet Coke ad

Whether it is the creation of a new pop group (Boyzone and Westlife were exceptions) That is social engineering . Grand if it is a true representation of society and people got the job based on their ability. RIshi? Nah

The token "coloured" person is on board. Are we even allowed to say "coloured"?

Ok, this thread is going way off topic and getting a little hot. I'm going to close it until I get a chance to go through it.

OK, this thread has been reopened. I've had to remove a lot of off topic and racist posts. If you want this thread to stay open, lay off the racism.

And as always, if someone has an issue with a post, report the post rather than engaging the poster.
