    Depends which iPad mini, the older ones wouldn't be great now.

    My wife has one of the first gen iPad minis. It's very slow, painfully slow.

    Get a new one or a free one with the Irish Times, second hand ones have probably be bounced around a lot at this stage.

    free ipad mini 2 is with the Sunday Times, which is a separate organisation to the Irish Times.

    I'm holding out for Apple to discontinue the mini 2 and hope that the Sunday Times then offers the mini 4....
