painting over varnish?

    7 doors in total. Teak darkly varnished. Finish will be a white or off white.

    Advice and recommendations would be much appreciated please.

    Sand and revarnish.....

    You'd need to be very sure that you want to paint over teak....it's an expensive hardwood...with a beautiful grain...

    There are now primer sealers available especially for that job, try pat McDonnell paints, I'd say a very light keying sanding with 240 sand paper by hand.

    As for an opinion , I agree that going for a nice cream or bright colour can transform the look of a property from dark and dingy hardwood, but you didn't come her looking for opinions :rolleyes:
