I am heading of for a few day in a couple of weeks, I don't normaly go away in high season so would not really know what the airport is like, would in be any good to book the priority(fast track) in the airport or is it a waste of time at this time of year, would I save any time going through to airside if I book this,

Depends on the terminal, the time of day, the day of the week and how many people are in your group - one person who flies frequently probably wouldn't be too bothered queuing for security.

I fly quite frequently but not at this time of year, I will be flying from T1 at around 11am, I don't mind queueing up but not if it will be for too long eg 30+mins, just thought I would ask about the fast track, never used it before and normally would have no real queueing time, I never see the point in paying extra if It is not needed but at high peak time in the summer I would not mind paying if I thought it would save a lot of time, thanks for your reply.

That time of day won't be too busy but they vary the number of active security lanes based on the number of passengers flying at that time of day so for example I have been through security in a matter of minutes with no queue at 5:30 a.m. because all the lanes were open whereas you could easily show up at 10 a.m. for an 11 a.m. flight and find that there was long queues, all it takes is a few infrequent <mod-snip> passengers fumbling with belts, jewellery and liquids to completely screw up the system.

I wouldn't bother with fasttrack for an 11 a.m. flight.

I don't know if this is a stupid question but does anyone know if you have to pay for kids as well as adults?

For example, if I got a Fast Track for two adults, would our kids be allowed through with us??

    Thanks!

Nope, you need a family fasttrack pass

That makes sense but I don't see it as an option, just 1 2 3 4 etc. people at €5.95 per person.

Just got someone on the phone and it's per person (no more family passes) and everyone over the age of two has to pay.

I guess it's because so many family's were using it. It's not really a fast track if families are in front, no offence but buggies, grumpy kids, bottles. Not great when you are in a hurry as a single business traveller!!
