Appreciate any advice with regard to these pics to improve the overall finish.

Also can anyone recommend a good stabilising solution.

I'm also hoping to use farrow and ball paint. Should I use a separate undercoat as the farrow is so expensive or just water down the farrow as you would any other paint. If so - two more coats?

    It's bare brick.

Those Walls look too far gone to be just painted. You need to get them re plastered with Sand and Cement. Then you can paint them afterwards.
i certainly wouldn't be wasting money on expensive paint when the end result will still look poor.

    Are you serious?

Maybe the first picture but surely exterior filler for the other three photos. Can you put sand and cement over already skimmed wall. Would it not be too thick and heavy?

I can only see one picture maybe it's because I'm on the phone. But the one I see is way past just paint I'm afraid

It looks to me also to be way past fillers of any kind. Then we are only seeing a small portion of the Wall. But It seems to me judging from the Photos that you'd be best to hack off the old plaster and start again with a new scratch and finish Coat of Sand and Cement. Then you have decent surface to paint.

What's the cost of something like that? 10ft tall 25ft wide. 2 patio doors and a window in the there too.

    Thanks guys.

you might be getting a local painter out to have a look and see what he thinks .

if he thinks he can use masonry fillers and leave a decent finish it might not work out much difference in price with him doing the job and using dulux weathershield than you buying farrow and ball and doing it yourself .

I'd guess somewhere around 300 to 500 Euro. A Plasterer and Helper for a Day.

F&B for external is madness. Patch up the worst of the holes using appropriate external filler and once dry, remove loose flakey paint with scraper and wire brush from a small surrounding area. Apply 2 coats of stabilising primer (leyland is cheap and fit for purpose). Apply a finish coat of deluxe WS (half the price of F&B) . If you're happy with the result, fire away!

    Primer: http://www.leylandtrade.com/products/product-detail/truguard-stabilising-masonry-primer.aspx

Available in clear and off white. I prefer the latter as you can easily see what you've done!

    Good advice from dodzy.
    Maybe pressure wash first.
Once it's dry and the loose paint scraped off, a good coat of good primer and 2 coats of Dulux WeatherShield.
Properly applied, WeatherShield is hard to beat.

Thanks dodzy. It's more the colour we like rather than anything else. Appreciate the advice.

Has anyone used epoxy masonry resin for filler? Or tec7.
