This is a novena to St. Patrick which a group of us are doing resulting from the efforts made in making reparation for Ireland.

It commences on July 14th until 22nd July and we would appreciate anyone who could join us in doing it...

Just say this prayer each day from today until 14th July.

St. Patrick, patron Saint of our land, chosen by God to bring the faith to Ireland, come walk among us again.
Intercede for us to the most kind Father, through His only begotten Son, for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon our nation:
That the leaders of our country and elected representatives will enact just laws,
which will be in accordance with the Holy Will of God.
That our Bishops, Priests and Religious and those who devote their lives
to spreading the Gospel will be protected and kept safe in God's love and service.
That the hatreds and the injustices in our country be dissolved.
That we will be blessed with an increase in vocations to the
    Priesthood and Religious life. Amen

It would appear that this is over now, but I am interested in the bolded phrase. Could you explain it a bit please?

Thanks, fine sentiments, but do these prayers have ecclesiastical approval?
