Defrosting ready meals versus cooking from frozen

Bought a stack of Fresh ready meals (noodles, rice etc.) yesterday and stuck them in the freezer. Says on the pack you can freeze but that's all.

Is the default for ready meals that you can microwave from frozen unless instructed otherwise, or would it be safer to defrost?

I would have thought the default would be to defrost unless stated otherwise.
