Disconnect the power cord from the cordless phone at night, install the Virgin Media Phone app on a smartphone, have the app running with the ring volume turned down at night.

Theres a "Night Mode' function for those handsets, during which time the handset will not ring, the instructions are here: http://www.manualslib.com/manual/649285/Panasonic-Kx-Tg6711e.html?page=29#manual

Probably not a good idea to power off the cordless base unit since that logs all calls, you'd also need to set the time when you power it up again. Better to simply switch off the handsets if there is no volume adjustment and use the VM smartphone app to handle calls at night.
