I have been offered a job in Dubai paying around AED20,000 per month. I have a wife and 4 kids. My wife has 12 years admin experience and would like to work as well.
Could we afford to live comfortably on that?
Could we save any on that?

Is there any accommodation included or any other benefits included? A decent apartment or villa in Dubai will take up more than half of that salary per month and school fees are really expensive. I don't have kids but i think the cost is AED30000 and up per child per term for a decent British curriculum school.

If your wife got a similar salary you might be OK, however admin is normally carried out by lower paid Asian staff and she would have to be in some sort of leadership / management role to achieve a decent salary.

It's not enough. You need to ensure that in addition to 20K, you also get a housing allowance (120K absolute minimum), a car allowance, education allowance for at least 3 of your kids, and health insurance for all family members as well as air tickets for spouse and up to three kids once per year. Otherwise you'll really struggle.
