Hi. I moved to Australia in February on a 4 year visa. I am travelling home for a week in August and wondering whether I can claim tax back on goods I purchase. The legislation is a little confusing. On the one hand we are travelling back within the first 12 months. However on the other hand, when leaving the EU, we will be taking up residence in a non eu country for 12 consecutive months. Just really not sure if we are eligible or not. Any help would be appreciated.
