    Lads.

I'm on the look out for a few bits and pieces to build up a bike for a mate.

Nothing overly fancy and the cheaper the better. I'm thinking free or a charitable donation type stuff. :D

It has an octalink crank on it. Which I'm currently trying to remove and having an arguement with

I guess the main things are:
    1. Wheel set 9/10 speed compatible
    2. 9/10 speed shifters
    3. front derailleur - band on 34.9
    4. Rear derailleur
    5. Crankset 9/10 speed - If I can get this bloody thing off!! I might see about changing to external bb if possible

I have a complete 9 speed Tiagra groupset, although it's a triple so may not be of use, and a Shimano R500 wheelset

Have a pair of 9 speed triple xenon shifters, rear mech, (have front too but braze on and not in great nick from memory), and a set of old RD80 wheels with cassette. Throw a few bob to the homeless and its yours.

Thanks lads appreciate that. I'm gonna try stick with a double for the minute. Meeting up with ford2600 this week with a bit of luck.

Smacl I'll pop a few quid in the jar to balance the Karma scale. :)

There's a boardsie here selling a Tiagra groupset

A tad out of budget. This may just be a passing whim but I want him to get off on a good foot and it may become an enjoyable habit. :)

    Updated list.

ford2600 fixed me up with almost everything. Thanks and a gentleman btw.

I have one a left hand 105 5600 (I think) shifter if someone had a right one that'd be sweet.

Also need a band on front derailleur. Double.
