Has it deviated massively from the original movies realism?

    Glazers Out!

Pssst. Someone's put their hand up Kermit's hole.

Well, it's a sequel to an alien invasion in 1997. What were you expecting? De Valera stabbing Colins in the back.

    Also,

    back into your own thread.

Kermit thought he was going to see a biopic of nigel Farage and ready Brexit

What's not realistic about it?

A woman being president of America?

Directed by Quentin Tarantino, starring Charles Dance as the leading lady.

I think it's PG13 which means I won't pay to watch it. A hostile alien invasion that is suitable for kids isn't worth paying for.

What were you expecting OP, for me I wanted The Donald whopping whilst the wall is being built for two and a half hours but guess I'll have to wait until November to see that.

Why do they say Will Smith is dead in the movie when we all know Will Smith is not dead?...

Independents day is on syfy channel now.

It's a follow up to independence day and was made this year?

    I'm utterly confused.

YOU SHOULD BE BANNED FOR NOT USING SPOILERS

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,406 ✭✭✭✭Kermit.de.frog

But, but it says Will Smith is dead in the movie description. So technically it is they who have spoiled it and they that should be banned, if they use Boards.

A sad film about a man selling off his beloved pink shirt collection to pay off his gambling debts. Heartbreaking. I give it a perfect 5/7 rating.

Seeing it tomorrow myself. Heard people say it's bad... But I liked the first so why not give it a chance.

What exactly were you expecting from the movie Tom?

Go see it B.A., you know what to expect so you shouldn't be all that disappointed.

I posedt this on the Film Forum after seeing it ......... "Independence Day: Resurgence. Brought my son to see Independence Day, we wanted a Summer Blockbuster Popcorn Movie and that's what we got ........... it was exactly what I expected it to be so no complaints from us. I enjoyed the first one and I enjoyed this one too, my son loved it!
If I was to rate it based on the movie achieving what it set out to achieve then I'd probably give it 10/10, if I was to rate it by comparing it to Citizen Kane then I'd give it a generous 0.5/10 ......... it is what it is and you know (or you certainly should know!) what you're going to get if you go see it so go and enjoy it or just don't go if you know it's not for you, simples."

The first one was no better, they said it was 900 miles from Atlanta to Texarkana when it's actually about 600.

Speaking of Texarkana, it's thirty miles to the Louisiana border, which put me off the Beach Boys for life.

I absolutely adore disaster movies and aliens so I went into it with high hopes, its actually painfully bad though. Its one of the few films I would advise people not spend to the price of an admission ticket on

Have we become American and thus began using the US film rating system?

If there actually was an imminent alien invasion and the only way to save humanity was for me to watch Independence Day 2, I'd have to have a think on it.

It's not that bad. It's better than Mad Max Fury Road anyway. Now that is a bad film.

Mad Max is not my cup of tea but I can objectively say it is at least more original and better acted with its own unique style and impressive fight/action scenes. The dialogue in Independence day was pathetic I honestly cringed at how badly acted the part where
the black guy's mom dies on the skyscraper
. I don't think there was a decent actor in the film or even one memorable non generic line of dialogue in this overly long pile of steaming poop

Nahh wasnt expecting that much acting wise like but this really took the cake! I know we all mostly go to these movies for the action sequences and flashy effects but a few relatable characters and realistic and moving dialogue can make a film like that a whole lot more appealing.

It did what it said on the tin, I wasn't expecting any more than what I got so I can't say I was disappointed ........... if the characters/dialogue had been above expectations then I would have called that a bonus more than anything else.

As I've already said, it is what it is and that's all it ever tried to be .........

It looks like there will be a 3rd film. It will be like Interstellar but a lot more daft and more explosions.
