Daniel Radcliffe goes from farting corpse to white supremacist. You can't say that he isn't stretching himself! This trailer is excellent.
Nate Foster (Daniel Radcliffe), a young, idealistic FBI agent, goes undercover to take down a radical right-wing terrorist group. The bright up-and-coming analyst must confront the challenge of sticking to a new identity while maintaining his real principles as he navigates the dangerous underworld of white supremacy. Inspired by real events, IMPERIUM stars Daniel Radcliffe, Toni Collette, Tracy Letts, with Nestor Carbonell, Burn Gorman and Sam Trammell.

    Out here mid-September.

Looks interesting, as you say Dans taking some interesting roles where it would have been very easy (and profitable) to take the nerdy hero roles following on from HP.

    So like...

    Pros:
    - Overall message
    - Handling a very complex setup in such a short amount of time
    - Lots of recognisable faces
    - Chef from Stranger Things is in it
    - Scene setup
    - Props
    - Make up
    - The looks

    Cons:
I dunno. It felt like Daniel Radcliffes character was being babysit through the story. It felt like either the storywriters didn't have a way of unboring him or maybe they were intimidated by it being Harry Potter in their midst or maybe Radcliff doesn't take well to complex acting. I dunno. Something felt off or too plain about him. Maybe it was the direction or that it was simplifing so many things into the one.

Thought this was pretty poor, great idea and the acting is fairly good - Daniel Radcliffe himself did a fine job with the material - but therein lies the problem.

The script is extremely weak and the film plods along with no real character development or credible timeline. It all requires a massive suspension of disbelief to be remotely plausible and feels totally superficial.

Very much a missed opportunity that feels more like a shallow throwaway episode of a 90's TV show than the powerful movie it should have been.

    Not unwatchable but hugely disappointing.
