easier to install bathroom tile alternative?

    hi just helping a friend do some research on doing up her bathroom. moved into a new place and the walls in the bathroom are pretty nasty. old wallpaper, no tiles. budget is very tight, just want something take the look off it. is there any kind of wall paneling system or similar, out there at the moment that would be cheaper than tiles and more importantly, easier, for someone that is mildly competent when it comes to diy?

    appreciate it if you've taken the time to read this.
