How to protect my back?

    Hi all,
So like many I have back issues, caused by s slipped disc resulting in sciatica and leg pain. Had an op about 5 years ago which ended the daily pain. It flares up if I overdo it so I have to watch out.
I do Pilates and a specific back physio class which helps. However I've started a circuit training class doing anything from mountain climbers to dead lifts. Now I know my own limits and tend to stay away from dead lifts and do something else at that station.
My question, finally, is is there anything I can use/wear during this class to protect my back? I'm not really sure. Exercise is key in managing back pain but I don't want to injure myself again. I have to accept this is something I will live with so it's about managing it.
    Thank you.
