But rumour has it that Eir will be increasing the prices of all their broadband packages by €8 over the next few days! So not really "free".

Isn't every provider increasing or had recently increased prices..?
Plus its the first I've heard of the increase..

At least eir are actually giving something decent for the price increase, unlike poxy UPC/Virgin.

If eir increase my charge then I will move ..... after 3 decades continuous with them on the one account.

I cannot receive those sports channels here.
I am not a Sky subscriber.
    I do not use MAC.
    I do not use Windows.

I won't be paying for those channels.

I wonder how long will they be free for. For a few years BT customers in the Uk could get the BT Sports pack for free, thats now no longer the case, only new sign ups to BT Broadband or Fibre get 3 months free BT Sports.

Got a letter in the post today regarding this.
It's totally free....... except for a ****ing 7€ increase in price and it also being a compulsory addition to your bundle.

I wonder if everyone is getting this increase? Am being turfed out of my rented apartment over the next few months (landlord gone bust) so it might be a nice way to break the contract!

You can withdraw from your Eir contract without penalty, by giving Eir a call within 30 days of receiving the letter.

If you've got eir fibre, you'll be getting this letter I suspect.

That doesn't sound like fibre, but rather standard broadband. Letter doesn't come with a bill.

I think its a 7 euro increase across the board regardless of what broadband you have?

Got the letter the other day, have BB and phone since last Sept and no mention of increase and in fact my states that there will be no increase until 2018. Very confusing on eir part of things, will wait till bill comes in and see.
