Council House

    Hello
    I have a question regarding council houses.
    Lady from County Council rang me last Thursday to come for a chat. She said that she has a house for me.
    She said that she has to speak to her manager first but "she think ,she can do it for me".
    I couldn't sleep for the last couple of days because of uncertainty .

    Does anybody know how long does it take for them to make the final decision on wherever I will be given it or not?

    Mine took about a week to get key, tenancy agreement and rent sorted. The previous tenant was gone a couple of days which allowed for the council to check the property and electrics before i moved in but just note time frames may vary with councils.

    Edited: I would also be surprised if they didn't give it to you. It is unusual for them to say they might have a property and being you in to discuss it.
