A few questions for a learner

    1. On the test, can the reverse around the corner be performed around a right hand turn (i.e. the kerb is alongside the drivers door). Most videos and other information only show around a left hand turn

    2. For the reverse around the corner and/or the turnabout in the test, is it a good idea to wind down the drivers window a bit so you can hear and traffic coming (as an addition to normal mirrors and looking around...just a bit of help really)?

    3. Going over speed ramps slowly in third gear - good idea or bad idea in the test? My car seems to go over them fine in third when practising

    4. On a turnaround, when the car is roughly 90 degrees across the road and about to turn left after reversing to complete the manoeuvre, should the left indicator be used? Also, should the handbrake be used at every stop in a turnaround, or would footbrake suffice?

    5. On a reverse around a corner, should the manoeuvre stop halfway through the check over your right shoulder/look right for traffic etc.?

    Thanks

    1. No.
    2. No need.
    3. If the car is comfortable than I see no problem with this. Speed bumps aren't standard size, so it's hard to say for sure. If need be, drop to second.
    4. No indicator required. Foot brake should be fine, the handbrake would take too long I reckon.
    5. It doesnt necessarily stop, but you must check over your right shoulder before you begin to turn the wheel.
