Seems like the best deal for pay as you go. You keep your €15 and get:

    • 30GB 4G data.
    • 300 any network minutes.
    • unlimited iD to iD calls and texts.

Not such a bargain when you can barely use the data & calls/texts because the coverage and speeds are so sh1te....

Dreadful network. Would strongly advise anyone considering this to not bother.

Pity you cant use the €15 on the Google playstore or whatever like Three offer. Im not sure what id use the €15 for other than the odd text.

Is there somewhere you can see what they charge for add ons for using up the €15 credit?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Meteor just swallow your €20 for all the above while 3 and iD don't touch it?

I had tried iD when they launched, but experienced issues with people being unable to call me, usually around peak time. Network seemed to go down quite regularly. Has anyone any good experience with them? I'm not in any contract, with 3 currently, but find that my 20 top up is being spent quickly as they don't have free calls during the week.

I am a Three customer, primarily, and I've also got two lines on iD.
I've no gripes with iD, in the most.

The customer care is very good, fast, and friendly. Their online billing and allowance information is basic, but effective.
I have a pre-launch offer (€15 for 5000 SMS and Minutes, and 20GB of 4G Data), as well as a €20 plan for the same allowance. I have even moved family members to the service. Personally, I think that they are very good value and reliable in the most part.

exactly. there are so many other companies hanging off three that the whole network has become unusable for many people.

The number of companies hanging off the Three network is irrelevant as all those companies are relatively small, with a relatively small number of customers. Tesco, Lyca, ID, 48, etc. combined have less then 10% market share. And when they were on the o2 network there were relatively no issues.

The issues with Three is they bought the o2 network and they are currently trying to combine the old o2 network with the Three network, moving the very large number of o2 customers onto the three network and all while trying to cut costs and modernise the infrastructure (o2 network had no 4G and other issues).

The other issue is that Three offers unlimited mobile data, which leads to people really hammering the network.

Hopefully in time they will have smoothed out the kinks in the network merge and it will all end up ok. Alternatively they could remain the cheap, cost cutting company, with an inferior network. We will just have to wait and see.

I am with id and only issue is data when roaming. Tried using the preinstalled id app to roam in scotland and Italy but no joy am I missing something simple? Tried every combo i could think of. Did others get it working easy?

I have been an idmobile bill pay customer since october.Nothing but problems, calls going straight to voicemail in dublin city centre,my latest data speed test;0.35mb down,0.12mb up which I done while sitting in a cafe on grafton street. When at home I could not be reached either so I set up a call divert for which i was charged €7 for one call.
I have made numerous calls to the customer care department, the last call was mid June and I am still waiting for the "technical department" to get back to me.

If you want poor speeds (1Mb 4G - full bars), awful customer service and texts that don't send /receive join!!! Just left them after 3 weeks of them checking a "faulty mast".

They are not perfect but I find reception the same as Three (cause it is Three!)

While they use the Three masts, they claim that they otherwise use their own equipment.

I would assume this means backhaul, switching gear, telecoms gear, etc. So they may have much worse contention in their own network beyond Three. They certainly seem to suffer problems that Three and other MVNO's (Tesco, Lyca) on the same network don't seem to suffer from.

Having spent 2 months with iDMobile last year, I wouldn't go back to them again even if they offered me a package for free, they were truly awful, and I'm led to believe that nearly 10 months on, they still have same problems I had last August and September. My advice would be to stay well clear of them.

You have to go into the sim toolkit which is an app on your phone it might be under ID on your phone. Select roaming services then select Mode then Manual and Home for Ireland and International for away. I found I had to reboot the phone after this.

Stay away. I too am having call issues, data issues, barely get h+ where I used to have 4g with meteor. Big issue with phone showing h+ 3 bars and any app I launch saying no network connection. Pain in the hole, I'll be ditching them soon as my 6 months half price is up. Worth 11eur not worth 22
