My daughter just insured her car and had to get no claims letter from previous insurer... and pay 15 euro for the pleasure. I never had to pay that from any provider.. is that something new?

What insurer? Was there a time lapse between insurers?

But no, I never had to pay.

not sure of the company axa I think. and yes there was a time lapse.. she lived in nz for two years. maybe that is the reason. still, I think it is mean spirited.

A certificate of no claims should have been sent with the original renewal from her insurer, I'm nearly sure this is law or regulation or something like that.

If she had to get another one for whatever reason then it doesn't surprise me that they would charge.

Edit: just saw your last reply, that would be why unless as I say she still had the one they had previously sent.

Yeah it's pretty normal for them to charge you for a NCB certificate if you need a replacement.
