Pay as you GO sim for Vodafone/ZTE mobile wifi r209-z In Italy

    I have the r209-z mobile broadband wifi device by ZTE, been using it on Vodafone here for a couple of years on bill pay.

    1) Is this device locked to Vodafone?

    2) If it is Locked to Vodafone, is it locked to Vodafone Ireland or could I use a Vodafone Italy Pay as you go so SIM?

    3) Do Vodafone Italy sell Pay as you go Mobile broadband sims?

    4) Assuming I can use a PAYG sim from Vodafone Italy in my r209-z, do I need to change settings?
    If so please give me instructions on changing settings, esp If I only have a phone with me.

    1 - Maybe, test with another providers sim
    2 - Unlikely, network codes dont match (06 and 01)
    3 - Google it.......
    4 - Take note of their "APN" settings before you go


    TBH with Threes like home deal (Unlimited 3G in UK, Italy, Hong Kong) I might go with them as you can set it up here.

    Worked no unlocking with €20 Vodafone Italy SIM.
